"It is so convenient after saying goodbye to glasses."
Two reasons made me go for lasik surgery. The first one is my bitter experience of having to turn down an advertisement assignment in which my role did not allow me to put on glasses. As I could not put on contact lens for more than three hours and I wasn't confident playing the role without any glasses, I turned down the assignment in the end.
The second one was my presbyopia problem, causing me to put on different glasses when engaging in different activities like computer and piano.
I chose Hong Kong Laser Eye Centre because both my brother and sister-in-law had their lasik done there and the results were good. While I was a bit tense and there was a mild discomfort during the operation, all the discomfort was gone the next day. Out of habit, I went for my glasses when I woke up, only to find that I did not need them anymore as I already had 80% to 90% of my vision back.
It is so convenient now and I no longer have to put up with the annoying condensation on my glasses when leaving air-conditioned premises in the summer time. If there is one thing that I would tell my friend about the benefit of lasik surgery, it is convenience.
