When I first heard about LASIK surgery, I didn't really understand what it was. I chose to be a fence sitter as eyesight was so important to me. Later on I knew that some of my friends had their LASIK surgeries done at Hong Kong Laser Eye Centre and the results were very good. They all encouraged me to have this operation. Finally, I decided to arrange a pre-operative eye examination there.

When I stepped into Hong Kong Laser Eye Centre, the setting was very comfortable that I didn't feel I was in a medical clinic. During eye examination, doctors and all the staffs were so professional and explained the theory and risk of surgery in detail. After this thorough eye examination, I decided to have my LASIK surgery right away.

On the day of operation, I was so nervous before I went into surgery room, but strangely that I became calm during the operation, I didn't worry at all and the doctor was very experienced and finished the operation in twenty-minutes. Afterward I went home and took one-day's rest. In the first few weeks, I was found to have some short-sightedness left after the operation, the doctor said it was due to the higher short-sighted power that I had gotten used to. It took longer time for my eye muscle to adapt to this change. A few months later, my eye sight was back to normal as expected and my vision became so clear that all my visual problems at work and daily life had disappeared. This makes me happier than I used to be.
