I gave up on glasses and changed into contact lens when I went to high school, but contact lens always made my eyes dry and uncomfortable. Especially now, I have to work around the clock and by the time I got home, I am so tired. At times I'm even too lazy to take off my lenses and just went straight to bed.
On the day of my LASIK surgery I wasn't nervous at all, because I kept thinking of all the advantages/good things I'll experience after the surgery.. like when I get up in the middle of the night I don't have to look for my glasses, I don't have to clean and disinfect my lenses everyday, and I don't have to spend money on lens cleanser any more.
The day following the surgery, I got up and went straight to the mirror and look at myself, what I saw was a crisp; clear image of myself and I was so glad.
Later on when I was ready to leave the house, habitually, I went to put on my contact lens and then realized that I don't need lenses anymore. I can see very clearly even on the very first day after surgery. The surgery was a success; I would like to thank all the medical staff and doctor at the Hong Kong Laser Eye Centre for their expertise and care.
